Chapter 6 of the textbook "Social media communication: concepts, practices, data law and ethics" by Jeremy Harris Lipschultz was an excellent read that goes over the concept of how social media data gets collected, analyzed, and presented. When reading chapter 6, there were many concepts and topics that were covered in this chapter that reminded me of the reading "We are data" by John Cheney-Lippold. With analytics, the textbook goes over how websites like google incorporate tracking on a page with then provides data on the sources of web traffic. With this tracking implemented, they identify popular searches they content creators can focus on some words and what to avoid.
